Ready for kindergarten, and beyond

Our Junior Kindergarten Program at Magic Days is designed for children who are ready to deepen their learning and take greater ownership of their ideas and actions. At ages 4 to 5, children demonstrate increased focus, reasoning, and social awareness. This program builds on earlier foundations by encouraging independence, leadership, and critical thinking in preparation for kindergarten.

Our activities are guided by the five pillars of the Magic Days curriculum, supporting language and expression, creativity, problem solving, social development, and fundamental movement skills. Through these pillars, children engage in meaningful learning experiences that encourage curiosity, responsibility, and confidence.

Literacy experiences become more intentional, with children engaging in early reading, writing, storytelling, and structured discussions that support comprehension and expressive communication. Through the Growing Minds pillar, children participate in more complex STEM challenges, project-based learning, and real-life problem solving that require planning, collaboration, and reflection. Children are encouraged to explain their thinking, test ideas, and explore multiple solutions.

Daily routines emphasize self-care, responsibility, and classroom leadership. Group projects, role play, creative arts, and cooperative learning strengthen empathy, communication, and teamwork. These experiences help children build resilience, confidence, and a sense of responsibility within their learning environment.

By the end of the Junior Kindergarten year, children leave Magic Days confident, capable, and prepared for the academic and social expectations of kindergarten.
